STV have revealed DEREK MCINNES has been handed a one-match ban by the SFA for losing the plot and gesturing to Celtic fans at Hampden on a day where his hatchet men went down 3-0 to Celtic.
The Aberdeen boss claims his gesture came after he was called an ‘orange b*****’ by the Celtic support but the SFA were not sympathetic and handed Dons boss a ban.
McInnes apologies immediately after the game when he was sent to the stands to say he shouldn’t have made the gesture before going into full deflect mode.
Presumably, the boss will now be in the stands for Saturday’s SPFL game.
Celtic head to Aberdeen knowing just a point is needed to secure the title. It won’t be easy with the Bhoys just edging a thrilling encounter 4-3 back in December at Pittodrie.
Kieran Tierney could be back in for Celtic while Aberdeen’s Shay Logan has an outside chance of an injury comeback against the Champions.
