McInnes Fuming – Rodgers Dismisses Incident as Banter

DEREK MCINNES seemed fuming that Scott Brown snatched the post-it note he gave to Graeme Shinnie during Celtic’s victory over Aberdeen.

The Aberdeen star was handed the note with Scott Brown and Tom Rogic intervening. Broony read the note, smiled then passed it to his manager.

McInnes looked visibly annoyed at the time. After the game he made comment.

He said: “I could say something – he ran straight to his manager, though, didn’t he?

“Like all good wee boys do.”

Brendan Rodgers was more lighthearted about the situation and claimed he never read the note out of respect or maybe because he couldn’t make out the manager’s handwriting.

“I didn’t read it, it was a bit of respect, really.” Rodgers said.

“There was obviously a bit of banter there. I maybe couldn’t read his writing anyway.

“It was good fun.”

Celtic won the game 1-0 but could have scored more in truth.

The team seemed sharper and were more on point than they have been in recent times.

Maybe McInnes will not pass notes while he’s being schooled next time.
