McInnes Feeling the Heat As He Phones up Former Celtic Hero

FORMER CELTIC HERO Kris Commons has told the BBC Scotland website that the Aberdeen boss who is trying to push through a move to Ibrox, phoned him after the weekend for Kris’ comments on air.

Kris questioned Derek’s focus after he fell to a second defeat it a poor Ibrox side with his league runners-up.

Not something out of the realms of ridiculous, especially when McInnes seemed to forget his starting line up when asked on air before the game.

The former Celtic Player of the Year told the BBC that Derek wasn’t happy with Kris questioning his professionalism.

“I spoke to Derek today. He had nothing but good things to say to me.

“He thought I was out of order because he thought I questioned his professionalism and the fact his mind wasn’t on the game.

“I did not try to portray that he wasn’t professional or that he didn’t understand his team.

“I just thought it was strange with the circumstances.”
