Ally McCoist has refuted the comment that the club he supports is under more pressure going into Sunday’s semi-final at Hampden.
Celtic and their Glasgow rivals are about to go head to head this weekend for a place in the final of the Scottish Cup.

Celtic currently sit top of the league and while Gio’s men are still in Europe, the Scottish Cup is taking on greater significance. Kenny Dalglish pointed that out at a Premier Sports pre-match event at Hampden on Monday. [RecordSport]
McCoist isn’t having it and believes there’s no extra pressure on the Old Firm obsessed club.
“I was at the last league game at Ibrox when Celtic won 2-1,” McCoist said on talkSPORT as cited by RecordSport.
“Celtic defended really, really well to be honest with you and probably looked more dangerous.
” Rangers have got everything to play for – and so have Celtic!
“I love the fact we say there’s more pressure on Rangers, these games are unbelievable, they really are.
“I can let Kenny off, because he’s the best, because he’s Kenny!”
If Ally wants to look at things objectively, he would see there is more pressure on the Ibrox side. Back to back derby defeats, relinquishing a six point lead since January while watching Celtic lift the League Cup in December.
The games do take care of themselves but Ally is talking absolute nonsense here.
Celtic go into the game still chasing a treble – something that was unfathomable at the beginning of the season. It’s going to be an interesting game.
