Celtic’s Matt O’Riley is unsurprisingly a wanted man this summer.
The attacking midfielder was outstanding for the Hoops last term as they did the double, and he has carried his impressive form into pre-season, scoring or assisting in each of the Bhoys’ games in their US tour.

Several clubs have been linked with O’Riley this summer, Atalanta and Southampton both having bids rejected for the player so far.
Both sides’ interest in the midfielder seems concrete, and according to journalist Jack Rosser on X, the Saints are continuing in talks to sign O’Riley.
With Celtic interested in Shea Charles of the newly promoted Premier League side, it remains to be seen whether a player-plus-cash deal would come to fruition.
There would likely be an outcry from the Parkhead faithful if that was the case, especially because Charles isn’t even a direct O’Riley replacement.
The 20-year-old is a holding midfielder, and would in no way make up for the output of the Dane who last season contributed to 37 goals across all competitions.
It was a sensational year for O’Riley, who is only getting better as the weeks go by.
