Matt O’Riley Sends Message to Celtic Support

MATT O’RILEY has taken to social media on Wednesday evening to thank Celtic fans for the support on Tuesday night.

The bhoys were held to a draw by Shakhtar Donetsk on Matchday five. The result meant Celtic’s hope of even a third place finish was extinguished.

Matt has been playing the holding role for Celtic in his captain’s absence. Something the midfielder isn’t too familiar with. However, he’s been doing a very good job on the whole.

It was disappointment on the night but Mat was thankful for the fans.

The midfielder’s name is never far away from a transfer rumour ever since he joined Celtic less than a year ago. His stock is very high after leaving MK Dons to sign for the Hoops back in January.

Matt is under contract at Celtic until 2026, so we hope we’ve still got a good few years of the player before he moves on for big money.

Celtic’s scouting over the past 18-months has been more hit than miss. We’ve got a good, solid squad who can grow together and land big money fees when it’s their time to move on.
