Once again in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, Matt O’Riley set up Kyogo for Celtic’s opener. The pair seem to be conjuring up a congenial partnership, one that the midfielder believes is ‘natural’.
O’Riley spoke to the media post-match on Wednesday evening. He said (Glasgow Times): “It comes very naturally at this point. Most of my assists last season came through him just because his movement is so good, and it is so easy to play with him. So, as soon as he passed me the ball I knew where he was going to be, and it was just a case of executing the pass.”

The pair seem to grow in knowledge of each other every week and for manager Brendan Rodgers, their relationship will be pleasing to see. Indeed a partnership existing between the talented duo only bodes well for Celtic.
O’Riley quipped it as one that possesses a wealth of chemistry. He said: “I think there is a natural chemistry there between us. Good players kind of understand each other quite naturally, and the more you play with someone, then naturally, the better the understanding. But he makes it really, really easy for me because his movement is so good.”
The class of Kyogo will undoubtedly make things simpler for O’Riley, however, he still must be at the top of his game and be accurate in his passing to the Japanese forward. Just 22, the midfielder proceeds to hit new heights every week as his limitless potential comes to the fore.
