An update has been given regarding Celtic’s pursuit of Danish frontman Mathias Kvistgaarden. The 21-year-old was initially linked with a move to Parkhead over the summer.
It was never finalised, but the bhoys look to have reignited their interest. According to Danish outlet Tipsbladet, the Hoops are back on the hunt for Kvistgaarden.
There are other teams interested in the player including those from the Bundesliga, France, Premier League, and English Championship. It is said Brondby won’t let Kvistgaarden go cheap, and that they want around £8.5 million for one of their prized assets.
The price does seem to be rather steep for a man who has less than 100 appearances in senior football, yet he does have talent. It will be a ‘game’ between several sides to land the signature of Kvistgaarden, but Celtic will be right up there amid Brendan Rodgers’ desire to increase his attacking firepower.
