Moussa Dembele sent out a Thursday night tweet praising the reach of the Celtic support, even in Saudi Arabia!
The former Celtic striker signed for Al-Ettifaq this window on a free after leaving Lyon at the end of his contract. He hit the ground running, scoring a goal in his first game in the country and is looking to make his mark while, let’s face it, making a pretty penny.
An Al-Ettifaq account posted a Scottish woman at the football talking about taking in their first game in the country because her favourite player, Moussa Dembele plays for the club.
Upon seeing this, Moussa took to social media to point out that no matter where you are on earth, there will always be a Celtic fan somewhere!
Not matter the country on earth, there will always be @CelticFC fans 😊! Massive community that I will always be grateful and proud to be part of 🟢⚪️ Thanks for the support and to being part of the @Ettifaq_EN family 🔴🟢#ThisIsHowItFeelsToBeCeltic #Ettifaq https://t.co/BJlHg2auKD

As fate would have it Moussa is playing under former Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard and playing alongside another former Celt in Jack Hendry, all three men signed for the club this summer as the Saudi clubs looks to hoover up the top talent in European football.
Celtic had their own experience of the Saudi’s buying power when they came in and paid a massive fee for Jota earlier in this window.
Dembele has never hidden his love for Celtic. After spending two successful seasons in Scotland, he continues to sing the club’s praises even to this day.
