Martindale Has a Shocker Comparing Ibrox Club to Celtic

DAVID MARTINDALE was bigging up The Rangers and their boss ahead of their match at the Tony Macaroni this weekend.

Previously, Martindale has said that Celtic are the team to beat and that Ange Postecoglou is the best manager in the league. But during his pre-match press conference, he claimed that The Rangers are on Celtic’s level and are also the team to beat, claiming that since Beale took over, the side’s records have been the same.

That’s not quite the case, though. The teams do have 12 wins from 13 games, with the only draw coming in the Glasgow Derby. But when you dive deeper, you can see, quite clearly, that Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic are performing a lot better.

In Celtic’s 13 matches, since Beale took over, they’ve scored 40 goals. The Ibrox side has netted the ball just 28 times.

Defensively, Celtic have also been better. The trusted backline of Celtic has conceded just six goals. When compared to The Rangers, they’ve let in 13 goals.

So, in actual fact, the team’s records aren’t the same, and Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic are outperforming Beale’s side, who, you could say, have got lucky on a few occasions to keep their unbeaten streak going.

Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic are flying high.
