Ben Palmer of The Times has reported overnight Celtic are again interested in Hibernian winger Martin Boyle.
The Australian signed a new deal with the Edinburgh club not so long ago and the ball is very much in their court with regards to a transfer.
Celtic has been linked with Boyle on several occasions, especially when Neil Lennon was the manager. Now the Australian connection between Martin and Ange appears to be driving this story.

The Easter Road club is not about to let one of their top players go on the cheap – the fee reported is around £3m. While I totally understand Hibernian’s position and valuation, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for Celtic to do business at that price.
Martin is coming up for 29 in April and will not hold any resale value. There’s every chance he’d come to Celtic and be a rotational player, again, another reason why the fee wouldn’t make sense for the club.
We have James Forrest and Abada on the right and while Martin can play across the front three we would have the likes of Kyogo, Maeda and Jota in front of him.
Boyle is a good player and if Celtic could get him at a favourable price I’d be all for it. However, right now, it looks if Ange really does want Martin, he’s going to have to part with some serious cash from his budget.
I’d argue he’s worth more to Hibernian than he is to Celtic. Look at his stats this season so far, 27 appearances, 14 goals and 5 assists across all competitions. The Socceroo has been a phenomenal signing for the Hibees.
The player might feel there’s one big contract out there for him as he hits his peak, but
