MARK MCGHEE has compared Celtic to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. The Dundee manager, who will not be in the dugout until April, is an admirer of the football Celtic play, claiming to have watched the Hoops and been blown away by the performances.
Postecoglou has brought a unique style of play to Celtic. The non-stop attacking play has resulted in goals galore at some stages in the season, including against Mark McGhee’s club, although James McPake was in the dugout for both games.
As quoted by the Daily Record, Mark McGhee said;
“My God, a couple of the halves I’ve seen from them are as good as I’ve seen for a long time – and I include Manchester City in that.
“The freedom and the expression in their play has on some occasions been the best I’ve seen for years. Really fantastic.

“They started against Bodo/Glimt looking like that again. They flashed a ball across goal early on and it might have been a different game had that gone in.
“But Bodo got the first goal and they’re a good team.
“We’re not kidded going into Sunday. At the moment, Celtic are the best they’ve been for a long time.
“We’ll have to work really hard to contain them.”
Full of praise for Celtic, the former player admitted it’s the best they have played in a long time – it’s hard to argue otherwise.
This is the best Celtic had played for a long time, arguably better than when Rodger was in the dugout.
Celtic started well against Bodo. Within five seconds, Maeda had received a ball that could have played him through if it was a tad lighter. Minutes later, the Japanese was at the edge of the 6-yard box and cut it back, although Abada was unable to meet it.
