Celtic winger Marco Tilio finally made his debut for the club on Saturday afternoon. The Australian internationalist was introduced in stoppage time amid an injury to Yang.
It was a moment that was long in the making for the 22-year-old whose time in Glasgow so far has been nothing but tough. He wasn’t able to impact the overall result in the six minutes he was on the pitch, but his play was positive.

Post-match, Tilio posted on Instagram, quipping he was ‘proud’ to make his ‘long-awaited’ debut:

From here on in, Tilio will aim to gain consistent minutes. He appears to be a player of talent and high potential, and many will hope he can take strides from here.
The wide man is not in Brendan Rodgers’ European squad so cannot play against Lazio on Tuesday. He will be in contention for St. Johnstone on Sunday, though, as he aims to build on a positive debut.
