Celtic are reportedly close to signing Fulham’s young striker Callum Osmand. The 19-year-old Welsh youth international has completed a medical before his move to Glasgow.
Osmand had a strong 2024/25 season playing for their U21 team. He scored 10 goals and made four assists in 17 Premier League 2 games. He was named Player of the Month in November for his performances.

He also played a big part in Fulham winning the Premier League Cup in 2024. In the final against Tottenham Hotspur U21s, he scored a hat-trick to help his team lift the trophy. Fulham offered him a new contract, but he reportedly chose to move to Scotland instead.
Because he is out of contract, Celtic only need to pay a small fee to sign him due to cross-border rules. The forward is expected to join up with Brendan Rodgers’ squad soon.
Fulham boss Marco Silva has spoken highly of Osmand in the past, and thinks he has a bright future in the game.
He said: (RecordSport), “He is much more mobile (than a lot of strikers). He needs more senior football in his legs to see how he can adapt, perform. He’s got the profile that I like.
“When he has a chance, he can punish the opposition. I can see the talent, in a position that is very difficult to play in the Premier League.
“Probably if you play another striker by his side, you will take the best from him. Let’s hope we can help him to be ready for the Premier League.”
Brendan Rodgers wants to add more options in attack before the new season. Osmand will be given the chance to fight for a place in the first team.
At the moment, Adam Idah and Johnny Kenny are the only out-and-out strikers in the squad. That means Osmand could get a real chance to show what he can do.
His arrival might also lead to Johnny Kenny going out on loan again to get more experience. Rodgers has said before that he wants young, hungry players who can grow and improve. Osmand fits that profile well.

The signing is part of Celtic’s plan to bring in promising young players who can develop into first-team regulars. With a busy season ahead, including European qualifiers, Celtic need more options up front.
Osmand has shown he can score goals at youth level and now has the chance to take the next step. Rodgers will hope that he can help him make that move into senior football.
Celtic fans will be watching closely to see how he settles in and whether he can add goals to the team.
