On Sunday, there were many disappointing aspects of Celtic’s performance as we failed to win yet another Glasgow derby losing 2-0.
One aspect of the performance that many were quick to target was the performance of both fullbacks – Diego Laxalt and Jonjoe Kenny. The Uruguayan was replaced at half-time and the Everton loanee scored an own goal.
However, Alan Morrison otherwise known as Celtic by Numbers believes that Kenny wasn’t actually as bad as many thought, explaining his reasoning on the Huddle Breakdown podcast (clip below).

Since signing for the club, it hasn’t exactly been a great time for the 24-year old, especially joining under the circumstance he did at the end of the January transfer window.
It is probably unlikely that he will return to the club next season with the fee be thrown about of around £8-£10 million to sign Kenny on a permanent deal from the English Premier League side.
