During an interview with the Man City club website French defender Eliaquim Mangala was asked to pick his favoured 5-a-side team from all the players he’s played with over the years.

The 24-year-old chose a goalkeeper, two defenders, one midfielder and one attacker. I think to everyone surprise his current defensive partner Vincent Kompany didn’t make the grade but instead former Man City teammate and current Celtic player Dedryk Boyata was selected by the Frenchman.

When giving a reason for the Belgian’s inclusion he just smiled and said “We’re mates, he knows why”.
