Nicky Butt has left his role with Manchester Utd with immediate effect on Wednesday evening. A piece of news that would not be of interest to any Celtic fan on the face of it.
However, the rumour mill on social media has gone into overdrive because of it.

Many believe Dermot going public on Tuesday with a contrived Q&A added credence to his choice of manager back in 2014 getting the job now.
Roy Keane has not been a first team manager in over ten years. It would be a massive gamble if Celtic were to go with him.
There are many fans who believe Butt’s departure is so he can go take the vacant manager’s job at Notts County.
Dermot Desmond did say during his interview that they had not come to any decision on the manager as of yet. Butt’s resignation would appear hasty if it was to do with the Celtic post.
