As the transfer window enters its final stretch, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is keen on completing multiple signings to bolster his squad.
Although the primary focus has been on defensive reinforcements, a goalkeeper, and a striker, SunSport reveals that a new midfield player could also be on the horizon for the Scottish giants.
Tommy Doyle, a young midfielder currently with Manchester City, has been monitored closely by Celtic. Doyle, an England U-21 international, spent last season on loan at Sheffield United. During his tenure with the Blades, he made 38 appearances, scored four goals, and provided seven assists.

The 21-year-old talent has a diverse set of experiences, having also spent loan spells at Hamburg and Cardiff while rising through Manchester City’s youth system.
With Doyle’s contract at Manchester City set to run until 2025, it remains uncertain whether Celtic would aim for a loan or a permanent transfer. Either way, Doyle could offer a dynamic option in the midfield as Rodgers looks to finalise his squad ahead of a challenging season.
