Manchester City Keeping Tabs on Celtic Boss – Report

MANCHESTER CITY chiefs are said to be admirers of Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou. The Aussie manager arrived at Parkhead under a year ago and is already attracting big English clubs’ attention.

The manager has been pivotal to Celtic’s success so far this season. When he arrived at Glasgow, he had to build a team from scratch in just one window before guiding the team to the League Cup just six months after he touched down in the country.

He had to deal with the press and fans questioning him, but they soon quietened down when the team started their unbeaten run.

The Greek-born manager has galvanised his team, coming from six points behind the top spot in January to leading by six points in April, on course to win the title. It’s worth noting that Celtic can still complete the treble this year, still competing in the Scottish Cup.

Of course, Postecoglou has previously worked in the City group, so it should not surprise that he’s highly rated within the organisation.

I think Ange will want to prove himself in Europe with Celtic, whether in the Champions League or the Europa League. Therefore, I don’t see Man City’s admiration of the manager as a threat right now.

Hopefully, these comments are nothing and the manager is not seen as the replacement for Pep Guardiola when his contract expires at the end of next season.
