Malky Mackay has voiced his frustrations about the timing of Celtic’s first goal in their 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Hoops.

The goal, a long-range effort from David Turnbull, came just after the six-minute mark of added time at the end of the first half—a point of contention for Mackay.
Despite the various interruptions that led to extended stoppage time, including multiple VAR checks and a substitution, Mackay found the goal’s timing to be “surprising and interesting.
“I thought we had weathered the storm and to lose the goal at six minutes and six seconds is surprising and interesting,” Mackay commented post-match as per Football Scotland. “It was a bit of a sickener.”
Turnbull’s strike, which found the net by threading through a defender’s legs and landing beyond the goalkeeper’s reach, set Brendan Rodgers’ side on a path to a comfortable win with Luis Palma and James Forrest adding to the scoreline later in the game.
The referee was right to add the time on, and no one can have any real complaints about it at the end of the day.
