Dermot Desmond Gives Update on Celtic’s Transfer Plans

Dermot Desmond has spoken about Celtic’s transfer policy this summer and it will be music to the ears of fans who are worried about losing their big stars.

Much has been made of the likes of Moussa Dembele, Scott Sinclair and Kieran Tierney moving for big money but Dermot has told the Celtic fans that the club is under no pressure to sell any of their prized assets.

“We’re conscious of maintaining the core of the team,” said the Irishman.

“Naturally, some players will move on and some will come in, that’s the way that demand is for players and the salaries that they get.”

“But we’ll endeavour to maintain the nucleus of the team for the year.

“We don’t have to sell any player. First of all, it will be the club, the player and the manager that will decide that.

It’s nice to see the selling of our players is not inevitable, even if it’s just this season.
