Major Turkish Outlet Claim €8m Celtic Bid Accepted

SPORX have claimed Celtic have made an €8m bid for Trabzonspor player, Caleb Ekuban.

The centre forward has been subject to a lot of interest but the media outlet claims Celtic have put in the bid and had it accepted.

Neil Lennon confirmed he wanted another striker but we didn’t envision the club spending more than they did for Albian Ajeti.

Of course, with all reports from abroad, we take them with a pinch of salt, but they seem pretty certain in their report.

Albian Ajeti has come in for around £5m, to help out the Celtic attack. If Celtic are still looking to spend big money on another striker, it will make the supporters nervous about Eddy’s status even more nervous.

Could Celtic be transitioning strikers and allowing the new lads to gel in before Edouard’s eventual departure?

The reported fee still seems on the high side for a 26-year-old who couldn’t be described as prolific.

We will be keeping an eye on developments with regards to Caleb.
