Celtic have been linked with a surprise move for Charlton wing back Alfie Doughty, with reports claiming Nicky Hammond scouted the Charlton player on Saturday against Swindon.
This interest has come out of the blue, Alfie can play left side of a midfield four but the Englishman can also play full back which is something Neil Lennon is looking for.

If there’s only going to be one more signing for the Hoops, Neil Lennon is looking for someone to play down the left in a 3-5-2 scenario.
Alfie, 20, only has a year to run on his current Charlton contract and if the Scottish Champions do want to land him – the fee wouldn’t be out of their reach.
SunSport report there’s already been contact between Celtic and Charlton about a possible deal.
CELTIC. Taking major interest in Doughty at CHARLTON. Already been contact. Two top men watched yesterday, including Hammond.

If Hammond is involved there’s a good chance of this happening.
