Major Christopher Jullien Update

Neil Lennon has delivered an update on our star centre-back Christopher Jullien with the Frenchman missing over a month of action at this point.

The defender has been out since before the international break and there was high hopes he would be ready for the Glasgow Derby; that wasn’t to be and he’s also missed the Milan defeat.

Now, with many wondering when we’ll see the big defender back in action, Neil Lennon has revealed Christopher has been sent to Germany to try and solve a back problem which the physios and doctors at the club have failed to find a solution.

“We’re missing Jullien because I thought he had a stellar season last year. He’s got a back issue that’s been rumbling on for a few weeks. He’s gone back to Germany to get some round the clock treatment.” Lennon admitted to the Daily Record.

“Hopefully that will work. He’s had scans and he has been in a lot of discomfort but there isn’t much showing up on the scans.”

While it’s great the club are being proactive about getting defender treatment, it’s worrying they’re not sure what the underlying issue is at present.

In that respect, we just don’t know how long the Frenchman will be on the sidelines.

Hopefully he’s back before too long as we’re missing him in the heart of defence.
