Celtic’s added value claim for season ticket holders this season is about to be tested.
The club have been drawn against Ross County in the League Cup and have been fortunate enough to be drawn at home. However, the game is NOT part of the season pass and could be chargeable to any Celtic fan who would like to watch.

There’s a conceivable situation where the club charge Home Cup Ticket Scheme members to watch the game and then throw it out to the rest of season ticket holders at a price.
Another option would be to bring the game onto the pass free of charge and give Celtic fans added value for paying for a season ticket even though it looks highly unlikely anyone will get in this season.
Ultimately, we’ll have to see what Premier Sports want to do as they have tv rights to the competition. They could show the game on their channel and anyone who wants to watch would fork out £10 for the ninth.
