BAYERN MUNICH will have to go into battle with Celtic this week without one of their key players.
It has been confirmed by new Bayern Boss Jupp Heynckes that Javi Martinez has been ruled out of the tie after succumbing to injury at the weekend.
“Javi will miss the game against Celtic,” admits Bayern boss Heynckes.
“It is a concern. He’s a tough boy and never usually asks to come off.”
Javi has been a mainstay in the Bayern team and is a player who really helps the team tick.
With Javi now out and Ribery still recovering from injury, Bayern will have to adapt against Celtic. However, the club has an embarrassment of riches within their squad and it will still be a tall task for Celtic to get anything in Germany.
