Luis Palma’s move from Celtic to Lech Poznań is edging closer to completion, with the winger due to land in Poland on Saturday to finalise a loan switch.
As reported by Central American Football, the Honduran international is expected to undergo the final stages of the transfer before being officially presented as a Lech Poznań player at the start of next week.

Celtic granted Palma an extended break this summer due to his international commitments with Honduras, who reached the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
He featured in every match of the tournament, including the dramatic win over Curacao where he scored in stoppage time to seal a spot in the last eight. Honduras later advanced to the semi-finals after beating Panama on penalties before losing narrowly to Mexico.
Palma was left out of Celtic’s recent training camp in Portugal, further signalling that a move away was imminent. His time in Glasgow has been stop-start, struggling to establish himself as a regular under Brendan Rodgers. A loan move provides a fresh platform for him to get back to form and regular minutes.

According to journalist Sebastian Staszewski, the loan deal includes an option to buy set at €4.5 million. Talks between the clubs have been concluded, with an agreement now in place. Should Palma make a strong impression, Lech Poznań would have the option to make the transfer permanent.
The Polish top flight and a potential European run present a real chance for the winger to kick-start his career after a frustrating spell in Scotland. All signs now point to the move being wrapped up shortly, giving Palma the reset he appears to need.
