Luis Palma Reflects on a Night of “Mixed Feelings” and His First Champions League Goal

Celtic’s thrilling encounter with Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night ended in a 2-2 draw, with Luis Palma scoring his first official goal in the Champions League.

He thought he had scored the winner against Lazio in the last group stage match, but VAR had ruled it out for offside.

Despite a standout first-half performance and playing with a one-man advantage from the 82nd minute, Celtic could not secure the victory. Although, it’s good to have some points on the board heading into the second half of the group.

Luis Palma, naturally a left-winger, demonstrated his versatility and skill by confidently finding the back of the net from the right side. In the aftermath, he took to Instagram to share his thoughts, posting:

“Noches mágicas…Lots of mixed feelings and something unexplainable. I’m very happy for my first goal in @championsleague and proud of the team’s performance!! We will fight till the end..”

Palma looks to be a really good buy and has shown his natural talent on the wing. While he may lack some pace, he’s a player who will excite the fans and keep them on the edge of their seats.
