Celtic are set to take on La Liga giants Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday evening. It is a match from which the Hoops must take something.
Atleti will prove arduous opponents for the Bhoys who will need their key players to show up. One of those, at least in recent matches, is Luis Palma.
The Honduran internationalist bagged against Diego Simeone’s men on matchday three and came off the bench against Ross County at the weekend to score an incredible goal. Ahead of this one, he met with a notable figure in Madrid.

Indeed the Honduran ambassador to Spain, Marlon Breve Reyes, visited Palma and Brendan Rodgers in Celtic’s team hotel. The trio got a photo together, and the 23-year-old signed a flag of his home nation:
Fue un honor conocer y saludar a @Luispalma217, orgullo catracho, y a su entrenador Brendan Rodgers, en Madrid en la antesala del juego @Atleti vs. @CelticFC por la Champions League. También conocí a su agente y al Presidente del @cdsvidaoficial. 🇭🇳🇪🇸🏴 pic.twitter.com/LUVBah6MKx

It definitely seems as though Palma is adorned by those in his homeland. He only has six Honduran caps, but he is a player who is excelling in Europe which will capture the attention of many in his country.
If the Hoops’ number seven continues on his upward trajectory, he will only gain more and more attention. Supporters of Celtic will be hoping such form can continue in the Wanda Metropolitano against Atleti.
