Celtic begin their hotly anticipated Champions League campaign this Wednesday when they welcome Slovan Bratislava to Parkhead.

The Bhoys will be looking to get off to the perfect start on matchday one as the Slovakian champions come to town.
Domestically, Celtic have been imperious this term, winning six from six, scoring 17 goals, and conceding one. Brendan Rodgers wants such form to be transferred onto the European stage.
Bratislava are no mugs, but given their form so far this season, the Celts have every right to feel confident going into the match.
Lubomir Moravcik, though, thinks there is a key weakness in the Hoops team that their opponents could exploit on Wednesday.
Indeed, the ex-Celt reckons the physical stature of Rodgers’ men can be taken advantage of.
“Celtic do not have a lot of tall players and Slovan Bratislava have a lot of good headers in their team,” he said (RecordSport).
“Slovan need to work out if that is an area that Celtic may be vulnerable. Celtic will be the favourites and Slovan must be flawless to take anything from the game.”
Although Celtic aren’t the most physically imposing team, they more than make up for their lack of height with their footballing ability.
The tactical progressions in their game from last season are coherent, and they will now want to show that on the European stage.
Bratislava will be a tricky opponent, but three points are essential for the Bhoys on matchday one.
Their opening-day record in the Champions League, though, doesn’t make for pretty reading. Rodgers will look to improve it tomorrow.
