Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou said that there is no benefit getting involved in discussions surrounding VAR after his side took a comfortable 2–0 victory over Dundee United.

Postecoglou emphasised that the best approach is to focus on the football itself and that any critiques of VAR are pointless.
VAR created a crazy call in the encounter, denying Celtic a penalty when Kyogo was leathered in the back of the head by the United goalkeeper. The cameras showed Postecoglou chuckling at the decision not to award the penalty, with the Celtic boss adamant his side was on the wrong end of the call.
Speaking after the match, Ange Postecoglou gave the Sky Sports reporter the “mate” treatment and said:
‘Look mate, I‘ve had my say on it, we‘ve just got to let it roll now. All managers would probably say the same thing about it.
“From my perspective I‘ve kind of made a conscious decision a few games back to concentrate on football. I don‘t think there is any point to it (criticising VAR), it is quite obvious there are still some issues there.
“All we can do is play the football we need to play to put the result beyond doubt. It‘s more than momentum, we want to finish the season stronger than we did the first half of the year.”
It seems as of after every game in the SPFL that VAR is the main talking point. They’re incompetent, from those who operate it to those who are on the pitch.
