Longe Serving Celtic Backroom Member Leaves Club

Celtic have had a bit of upheaval this summer since Ange Postecoglou left and Brendan Rodgers came in.

Not as much upheaval as Ange would’ve liked, if we’re being honest. The Australian failed in an attempt to take John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan down to London with him.

At Celtic, there’s so much that goes on behind the scenes with hard working backroom staff that we never see or hear from.

However, while they may not be in the limelight, they are absolutely vital to what the club does and how the team performs.

That’s why it’s a bittersweet moment for the Hoops as they wave goodbye to their strength and conditioning coach Scott Breddy after almost a decade in the post.

Scott has been at the club through Ronny Deila, Brendan’s first stint at the club, Neil Lennon and then Ange.

He leaves to pursue a new career in physical education, set to study at the University of Strathclyde as per his social media post.

We’re uncertain if Scott’s position has already been replaced. We would assume it has, or there has been an internal reshuffle. Celtic’s current LinkedIn status does not call for a strength and conditioning coach.

However, if you want to be the next ticket office manager, that’s up for grabs!

We wish Scott all the best!
