Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-gyu is on the brink of sealing a move to KRC Genk, having agreed to personal terms with the Belgian club.

According to reports in Belgium, Genk is negotiating a transfer fee of £4.2 million plus potential bonuses with Celtic to finalise the deal.
Oh joined Celtic during Ange Postecoglou’s tenure and, while he demonstrated potential, consistency has eluded him, prompting his decision to seek regular playing time elsewhere. This move is seen as part of his effort to secure a stable position in the South Korean national team.

He’s reportedly signed a long-term contract with the side.
The potential exit of Oh is indicative of broader changes at Celtic Park, with the club expected to undertake a significant squad overhaul this summer. The departure of several players aims to streamline the team and eliminate underperforming players, a critical step as the club looks to strengthen for the upcoming season.
With Oh’s likely departure and Adam Idah returning to Norwich after his loan, Celtic’s immediate challenge will be to bolster their striking options, as they currently only have Kyogo as a striking option.
