Celtic defender Gustaf Lagerbielke is attracting significant interest from Italian Serie A clubs, with Hellas Verona emerging as the latest team considering a loan move for the Swedish international.

Lagerbielke, who joined Celtic from Elfsborg in the summer, has found it challenging to secure a regular spot in Brendan Rodgers’ central defence lineup.
The 23-year-old has been the subject of transfer speculation, with Genoa and Leece previously linked to him. Now, RecordSport reports that Verona is closely monitoring Lagerbielke, adding to the list of Serie A clubs intrigued by his potential.
Lagerbielke’s situation at Celtic has seen him placed behind teammates Cameron Carter-Vickers, Maik Nawrocki, Liam Scales, and Stephen Welsh in the pecking order for central defensive roles. With Celtic reportedly looking to free up wages and trim their squad, a January loan move for Lagerbielke could be a mutually beneficial solution.
Despite his Champions League goal which saw Celtic seal their first home win in over a decade, the defender just can’t get into Rodgers’ plans.
