Loan Bid Rejected – English Side Try to Pinch Celtic Star on Cheap

Reports overnight claim Alex Neil and Preston have tried to land Scott Sinclair on-loan for the rest of the season and that offer has been quickly rebuffed by Celtic.

According to RecordSport, the English club submitted a bid for the player which would see him leave Celtic for Preston and never return to the club because his contract would be up at the end of this season.

Scott Sinclair is one of the most important players in the last three seasons for Celtic. While not always at the top of his game, he comes with a certain guarantee of goals.

The English midfielder has not lost a trophy in Scotland since coming to the club and he recently re-signed for another season at the club.

At this point, the 30-year-old seems happy at Celtic and has spoken before of staying for ten in a row. A loan bid from Preston is not going to whet the player’s appetite or prompt Celtic to sell.

Scotty is in the higher echelons of Celtic’s wage bracket so you can’t rule out a move before the window closes if a permanent bid comes in for the player.
