Celtic travel to face Livingston this Saturday in the Scottish Premiership. The Bhoys will be keen to get back to winning ways after a drama-filled defeat to Feyenoord during the week.
Livi’ will provide a whole different challenge to what the Dutch champions’ did. David Martindale will get his side to sit in and ensure the Hoops become frustrated and not allowed to play the free-flowing attacking football they want to.
Brendan Rodgers has never won at the Tony Macaroni Arena, so he will be keen to put that record straight this weekend. Ahead of the match, we give you a predicted lineup of players the double-treble-winning boss could select.
Goalkeeper and Defence
After saving a penalty during the week, Joe Hart will get the nod once more on Saturday. In front of him, Alistair Johnston will play at right-back whilst Greg Taylor will be on the left.
At centre-half, Gustaf Lagerbielke and Liam Scales will continue after it was confirmed Nat Phillips will miss this one. Cameron Carter-Vickers, Maik Nawrocki, and Stephen Welsh remain on the sidelines.
Midfield
Captain Callum McGregor is a cert to get the nod in the engine room. Alongside him, Matt O’Riley, who has taken his game to a new level this season, will play.

Joining them will likely be Reo Hatate. The Japan internationalist returned from injury last weekend and after starting and playing just under an hour midweek, could be set to up his involvement.
Attack
Scottish Premiership top scorer Kyogo will begin up front for the Celts, although there are a few dilemmas for Brendan Rodgers out wide. Against Feyenoord, Luis Palma and Daizen Maeda both started.
Maeda has played 90 minutes in all but one of Celtic’s league games so far this season, and only came off with eight minutes to go on Tuesday. He will start here, with Luis Palma playing on the opposite flank.
The Honduran wide-man made his maiden Hoops start on Tuesday, and gaffer Rodgers will look to get Palma involved once more from the start. Yang will be keen to make an impact off the bench.
Substitutes
The likes of David Turnbull, Odin Holm, James Forrest, Tony Ralston, Alexandro Bernabei, Oh, and Yang will all take up places on the bench. We could even see Marco Tilio included in the squad. He has been on the grass for a while now, and Rodgers confirmed last week he is looking for the right moment to bleed the Australian winger in.
Apart from one or two positions, picking Saturday’s team is quite straightforward for Rodgers. The 50-year-old knows how arduous things will be at the Tony Macaroni Arena, and due to this, may well look to go full-strength and take no chances.
