Despite the high hopes and the potential Doak demonstrated since his transfer, his progress was significantly hindered by an injury last season, which also cost him a chance to participate in Euro 2024.
During Liverpool’s pre-season tour in the U.S., Doak had the opportunity to showcase his abilities under Slot’s scrutiny. However, the Daily Express reports that Liverpool is prepared to allow Doak to leave on loan, but is open to selling the young Scottish winger too.
Premier League clubs like Leicester City, Southampton, and Brentford have shown interest in the young attacker.
His move from Celtic to Liverpool was met with significant enthusiasm, with expectations of him breaking into the first team more consistently. Unfortunately, injuries have played a part in stalling his immediate progress.
As the transfer window progresses, it will be interesting to see where Doak ends up and how he adapts to new challenges in his young career.
