Listeners to Radio 5 got treated to a very special song on Saturday morning thanks to Patrick Kielty. The Irish Radio host got Ellie Dixon to sing an acoustic rendition of the Jota song, made famous by Celtic fans.

The Hoops support turned the classic O-zone song into a chant for their Portuguese winger last season when he arrived at the club.

It’s a song that’s regularly chanted at Celtic games by the support — especially when Jota is putting in a show.

Ahead of the massive Cup final, a UK wide listening audience got to hear a very well delivered version of the song by Ellie.

Jota is almost certain to start the cup final on Sunday afternoon. The winger was out injured the last time Celtic contested the League Cup final and will want to make his mark. If he does get on the scoresheet for the Hoops, the song will ring out around Hampden. It might not be sung as eloquently as Ellie, but it will be very loud!
