Liel Abada’s Coming of Age; Incredible Stats

LIEL ABADA arrived in Glasgow at the young age of 19. Coming from Isreal, he was one of Postecoglou’s first Celtic signings.

The winger had a brilliant start to his Celtic career, scoring on his debut. The winger has pace on his side as well as his ability to find the net. Cutting in from the right, the winger will often take defenders on and while off the ball his movement is magnificent.

This was shown in Sunday’s opening goal. Hatate played the ball into the box and the winger had moved to a central area to slot it in.

Since joining, Abada has been no stranger to scoring goals. @AgentSPFL on Twitter has provided the platform with the now 20-year-old’s stats and they make magnificent viewing.

In 38 games, 33 of which he started, Abada can 26 goal contributions. 14 goals and 12 assists, a magnificent number at the end of the season, never mind at the beginning of February.

These stats mean that Abada scores every 184 minutes and scores or assists every 99.

The Israeli has been highly criticised at times and the stats prove he has been unfairly lambasted.

Really, the winger should be in the conversation for the player of the season.
