Liel Abada Celtic Exit a ‘Possibility’ – Rodgers Confirms

Brendan Rodgers has announced that Liel Abada will be absent from the squad facing Kilmarnock, citing that the player is currently not in the appropriate mental state to represent Celtic. The manager further indicated that Abada’s departure from the club this summer is a growing possibility.

In a candid moment during his press conference with Andrew MacLean, Rodgers provided clear insights into the situation.

The root of this development lies in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, which has led to vocal expressions of support for Palestine from many within the Celtic fanbase.

His last appearance was a sub appearance against Hibs at Easter Road where the player had a horrible cameo. What’s more, despite the late winner from the Hoops, Liel went straight up the tunnel.

This, in turn, has resulted in significant pressure from Israeli supporters on Abada, urging him not to play for Celtic. Despite recently signing a new long-term contract with the club following a period sidelined by injury, it now appears likely that Abada will seek to continue his football career elsewhere come summer.

Celtic have options on the wing out with Liel and will continue without him.
