NEIL LENNON has confirmed Celtic have signed young Liam Shaw on a pre-contract agreement after reports this evening suggested the player was in his way to Glasgow.
Speaking about his own future, the Celtic manager said he’s in constant dialogue with the decision makers at the club before confirming Shaw has signed and will join the Hoops this summer.
“I haven’t said that I wouldn’t be.” Neil Lennon told SunSport.
“I’ve not yet spoken to Dominic, but I speak to Peter every day. I speak to Dermot Desmond, I speak to Nick Hammond.
“We’ve completed a deal for Liam Shaw, he’s signed a pre-contract.
“So that’s done and we are looking ahead. We’ve got a bit of work to do.”
Shawn has broke through into the Sheffield Wednesday first team this season but turned down a new deal with the English outfit to make the move to Parkhead.
The 19-year-old midfielder is the first confirmed player which will be part of the rebuild next term.
Shaw has had a good season at Sheffield Wednesday so far and it will be up to whoever the manager is at Celtic to get the best out of him. Shaw will join the club at the end of June the same time Dominic McKay will take his place at Celtic Park.
