New summer recruit Liam Scales has talked up previous Celtic inspirations, including the likes of Virgil Van Dijk, for who he will attempt to follow in the footsteps of with the Hoops.
We at CeltsAreHere and our fan media correspondent @Juddy19X were given the opportunity to ask the new defensive recruit which player he will be looking to follow in the footsteps of during his time at Parkhead, and here is how he answered.

As a defender himself, there probably aren’t many better examples for Scales to use, as he mentions in his answer.
It would be delightful for fans across the board if the club were able to pick up a player of that ability once again. Of course, that is quite a high standard that might be tough to reach, plus there is a long, long way to go before we determine things such as that, though.
One thing that Scales can do is come in and hit the ground running, and fans would love to see that from another new recruit.
Whether that be in at left0back or centre-back, the 23-year old will looking to be making an immediate impact right from the off at Celtic Park and hopefully, it isn’t too long before we can see that/
