LEWIS MORGAN started for Sunderland today which seemed like an all Celtic affair with the Celtic youngster making his debut and a former Celtic youth product, Aiden McGeady scoring the winner.
It was a scrappy game, but the Sunderland fans seemed impressed by their new loan acquisition so far.
Morgan showed a great turn of pace, ball control and was very attacking minded. The midfielder got 80 minutes on the field before he was substituted with ten minutes to go.
The game will have been a big boost to Lewis who is looking to help Jack Ross and his side win promotion, something he did last season also with St Mirren.
If the player’s debut is anything to go by then, fans will be loving Lewis before the end of the season. Here is a taste of some fans thoughts on the loan star.
Lewis Morgan looks a quality addition. Works hard, two footed and quick. Decent debuts from Sterling and Leadbitter as well. Good performance capped off by an excellent McGeady goal. Wyke is very poor, once Grigg comes in we’ll be in business #SAFC

Lewis Morgan aside, Sunderland too easy to defend against.
Ball goes out wide but little to no movement/presence in the box.

Thought Lewis Morgan was very good today. Really excited to watch him over the next few months. Apart from that, it was a nothing game a poor game but one moment of brilliance from McGeady won us the game. Keep a clean sheet we will always score. #safc

There is no first option clause, and Celtic will hopefully bring Morgan back in the summer a better player.
