Let Me Make History – Celtic Star Wants Rodgers Final Blessing

LEIGH GRIFFITHS is pleading with Brendan Rodgers to let him loose on Motherwell on Saturday as the striker looks to hit 100 goals for the club.

Leigh is only 2 goals from joining Celtic’s one hundred club – due to injury and lack of game time he has been sitting at 98 for the past few months.

The Celtic star can’t think of a better time to grab a brace and write his own piece of Celtic history.

“If I could write it how I want to get my 100 goals then it would be to get them in the Cup final.

“I’ve never scored in a cup final for Celtic yet, so that would break my duck.

“But to get my 100th goal in the cup final would be the perfect end to the perfect season.”

An on-form Moussa Dembele is likely to start for the bhoys unless Brendan sees value in throwing Leigh on from the start as he chases 99th and 100th goal.
