Lennon reveals Elyounoussi fate

On Thursday night, Celtic star Mohamed Elyounoussi came in for some stick after he was spotted on his phone in the stands after being substituted off the pitch.

His manager, Neil Lennon had threatened to punish the Norweigan winger, speaking after the match. However, yesterday he revealed that he will not be punished after Elyounoussi came out and apologised for his actions when speaking to the Glasgow Times.

“There’s no issue. He has already come out and said he was just checking the results. I will take his word for that. He is a very conscientious player, a great lad. So there is no fall-out from that.”

Although, Moi probably shouldn’t have been on his phone during the game, after Thursday night there were much bigger matters at hand which weren’t discussed as much as this incident.

For myself and I’m sure many other Celtic fans, it actually wasn’t that much of a concern after what was a pathetic performance and result.

Elyounoussi did the right thing, came out and apologised so now we must move on from that as it is in the past now and there are more important things to be focussed on.
