Celtic supporters may have just been handed the clearest sign yet that Lennon Miller is on his way to Celtic Park this summer. The 18-year-old midfielder received a standing ovation as he left the pitch during Motherwell’s final game of the season at Fir Park — a gesture that has only intensified speculation surrounding his future.
Miller has had a standout season for Motherwell, playing with maturity far beyond his age. He’s been a key player in midfield and has caught the eye of several clubs, including Celtic, who have been watching him closely. That interest looks set to turn into a serious offer when the transfer window opens.

Reporting from Fir Park, BBC Sport’s Jane Lewis noted the significance of the moment: “Lennon Miller has just left the pitch, and what a wonderful ovation he was treated to from the Motherwell fans. Could it be the last time they see him here at Fir Park?”
The young midfielder has picked up top awards like the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year and the SFWA Young Player of the Year, showing just how strong his performances have been this season.

Celtic already have plenty of midfield options, including captain Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, and new signings Luke McCowan and Arne Engels.

But bringing in Miller would give Brendan Rodgers more choices and a player to develop for the future. His skill on the ball, calmness under pressure, and understanding of the game make him a great fit for how Celtic play.
If the deal goes through, Miller would join a squad that’s still improving, with big goals in Scotland, and in Europe.
