Lennon Confirms Injury Scare Ahead of Glasgow Derby

Neil LENNON has confirmed Kristoffer Ajer was the man to come off for the returning Elhamed because the Norwegian had picked up a knock.

Many inside the ground didn’t think much of it when Ajer was the one to make way but it looks like a precautionary measure.

Celtic having Elhamed back and looking sharp for the last 15 minutes is a boost. However, going into the build up for the game at Ibrox next Sunday, we hope Neil Lennon is correct and Ajer will be free to play.

Having an injury scare so close to the Derby game can always heighten nerves but we do have the squad to cope with it.

Leigh Griffiths might have played his way into the starting XI next week after bagging a hat-trick during the game against St Mirren. It will be interesting to see how the Celtic manager lines up.
