New footage emerged from Dens Park over the weekend showing on loan Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths waiting for the Celtic players to come out so he could greet them.
Leigh should’ve been part of the Celtic squad this season but messed up his final chance with the club shortly after signing a one-year extension.
The player has been loaned out to Dundee and was suspended recently for kicking pyro back into the crowd during a game.
Leigh spent a lot of years at Celtic but his time is well and truly up at this stage. The loan move to Dundee will end then he’ll be a free agent.
Making a point of greeting some of his former teammates before the game against Dundee is fine. Although big Stephen McManus didn’t seem over enamoured by the player’s presence before the tie.
Leigh’s best season for Celtic came a long time ago under Ronny Deila. He’s tried to recapture his form over a number of years but never hit the heights needed. The side show that comes along with the former Scotland international is also not worth the hassle.
