LEIGH GRIFFITHS has signed on with Celtic for one more year as the club confirm they have come to an agreement with the striker.
There was so much speculation surrounding the frontman’s future all summer and yesterday when it appeared he had purged his social media of Celtic references, things didn’t look good.
However, Ange Postecoglou has signed the striker up for one more year and he will re-join his teammates immediately in time for the pre-season training camp in Wales next week.
Celtic are low on numbers, especially if more players end up leaving in the next few weeks.
Leigh has so much to prove to make sure he gets the game time he craves.
It deeply saddened me
The striker has been in training since the end of last season to make sure there was no repeat of last years debacle where he was left out of Celtic’s pre-season trip to France.
Celtic clearly weren’t willing to go more than one-year at this point but Leigh will be out to prove he’s still got a couple more seasons left in him at Celtic.
