Scotland deserved to go through in Serbia and they managed it with an outstanding 100% penalty shootout.
While the celebrations continue and the reality sinks in we’re no longer chasing our first tournament since France 98, we want to reserve special praise for Leigh Griffiths this evening.
Two years after his last Scotland appearance, the Celtic striker was basically brought on to take a penalty with four minutes of extra time still to play.
Not only did he take one, but he took the first one and confidently hit the back of the net, even though the keeper did get a glove to it.

Scotland now have the Euros to look forward to in the summer and let’s hope by then we have crowds in the game again.
Celtic should hopefully get a bounce with the feel good factor from Leigh, Ryan, Callum and Greg. Scotland have another game against Israel this weekend before the players break away for the domestic restart.
